Department of Surveying

The Department of Surveying offers cour­ses including Land Surveying, Engineering Surveying, Photogrammetry and Remote Sen­sing, Theories of Measurement and Data Pro­cessing, Underground  and Mine Surveying, Measuring Systems in Engineering Surveying, Applied Analytical Photogrammetry, and Industrial Surveying. Surveying, photogrammetry, and computer laboratories support the education­al process and research.

Research is oriented towards the measure­ment and prediction of deformations, the optimisation of the design and measurement of local surveying control networks and the design and testing of automatic measure­ment systems, applications of analytical pho­togrammetry terrestrial laser scanning in architectural monument con­servation, environmental protection, water ma­nagement and energy exploration.
