The Department of Mathematics and Descriptive Geometry covers all areas of education in mathematics and descriptive geometry. It co-operates with the other Departments in their research and consulting projects. Its teaching is supported by a computer laboratory. The Department's research focuses on the theory and applications of fuzzy sets, numerical analysis of nonlinear partial differential equations with applications to flow-in porous media, free boundary problems and image processing, topological graph theory, computer graphics, and non-standard measurement and integral theory.
