At present, the department provides teaching of theoretical subjects: hydraulics, groundwater hydraulics, fluid flow, as well as basic professional subjects: use of hydropower, weirs, waterways and navigation, as well as subjects of specialization such as: hydropower, small hydropower plants, shutter structures hydraulic structures, hydrotechnical research and others, designed according to the needs of practice. Due attention is also paid to postgraduate courses and doctoral studies.
