12th Ivan Poliaček Seminar on “Pavement Diagnoses and Road-Building Materials” with international participation will be held on 21 – 22 November, 2007. The seminar is held to mark the Jubilee Year of the 50th Anniversary of the existence of the Road Research Laboratory at the Faculty of Civil Engineering, and at the occasion of the 70th Anniversary of the foundation of STU Bratislava. The aim of the seminar is to remind the successful operation of the laboratory and the.research.results achieved – during its activity as a significant workplace. The seminar is devoted to current problems of road-pavement diagnoses, the results of which serve as a basis for proposed repair, restoration and reconstruction of roads. It is closely connected with the study of road-building materials: standardization (an overall survey of STN EN requirements), step-by-step procedure measurements and description of facilities.
