Dear international students,
The Rector of the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava (further „STU“) in continuity of the resolution of the Slovak government and on the basis of recommendation of the Crisis Committee of STU held on October 23, 2020, at 9:30 am issued following recommendations:
- Reduce the number of employees at the workplaces in order to restrict contacts at the workplace in accordance with the provision of the § 250b of the code number 311/2001 Coll. as amended and allow to work from home.
- Turn to distance learning, because the freedom of movement and stay is restricted by the curfew from October 24, 2020, till November 1, 2020, imposed by the government resolution, whereas the commute to STU areas for learning or scientific research activity is not included in the exceptions from this restriction.
- STU students, who are accommodated in one of the STU’s accommodation facilities up to the issue date of this document, can spend the period of the curfew (24.10.2020 – 01.11.2020) in the accommodation facilities in compliance with the measures taken so far or in accordance with the government resolution, whereas they may return to their residence until 25.10.2020 at the latest.
- Restrictions mentioned in this document are not applying to meetings of STU academic bodies and managements of its faculties. Students can attend STU academic meetings.
