At the meeting of the senior staff of the department of education, which took place on October 23, 2007, its members deliberated the amendment to the law on the organization of the state support for research and innovation (the law on science).
The law accommodates the issue which concerns the procurement of means from the state budget as well as foreign research and innovation organizations. Simultaneously, it is proposed to establish a system of regular evaluation of research and innovation organizations in Slovakia which receive financial support from the state. The intention is also to increase the quality of the procurement of the financial means through the Slovak Research and Development Agency as well as the state programs of research and development. The proposal of the amendment to the law on the organization of the state support for research and development was accepted with the comments by the senior staff of the Ministry of Education. After the inclusion of the remarks, the proposal will be submitted for an interdepartmental round of remarks by the appropriate advisory body and subsequently for a deliberation of the government of the Slovak Republic
