From 11th to 13th September 2009 the division 'Women in the Engineering Profession' of the Association of German Engineers (VDI) invites you to the '1st European Conference on Gender and Diversity in Engineering and Science' in Dusseldorf. The conference addresses female engineers and natural scientists from all over Europe, decision makers and managers from any industries and international scientists.
In times of international competition for the best engineers and natural scientists no business can afford to abstain from the half of all talents. But how is a diversity and gender conscious management implemented successfully and what best practices exist all over the world? Top-class speakers from international businesses and associations as well as science and research give answers to these questions. Besides insights into strategies to a successful career, the convention addresses cross-cultural success factors, women leadership, the changing image of the engineering profession and gender relevance in engineering education.
We would be pleased if you announced the conference in your network and advertised it on your homepage. Enclosed you find the complete program and a short presentation of the conference for a linkage on your homepage.
